Losing another big game was bad enough for the Dallas Cowboys, as they fell at home on Thanksgiving to the Washington Redskins. But as bad as that loss first appeared, the news has gone from bad to worse for the Cowboys, who may have lost another pair of starters on defense for the rest of the 2012 NFL season.
In linebacker Sean Lee’s absence, Bruce Carter had stepped up in a major way. While losing Lee seemed catastrophic for the Cowboys’ defense, the former North Carolina Tar Heels standout burst on to the scene to fill in and play a major role in the resurgence that the Dallas defense had been experiencing.
So much for that.
