MAC Championship Game, Kent State inching closer to BCS bid

MAC Championship Game, Kent State inching closer to BCS bid

Hyped by on November 26, 2012 Website: www.examiner.com

The MAC has never sent a team to a BCS bowl game, but Kent State could become the first with a win Friday night against No. 21 Northern Illinois in the MAC Championship Game in Detroit.

Kent State, with an 11-1 record marred by one blowout loss to Kentucky of all schools, moved up to No. 17 in the latest BCS rankings and with this Thanksgiving weekend's result sin the Big East the Golden Flashes have become the most likely BCS buster with one final week to play.
