College Football Rumors: Did Monte Kiffin Resign To Save Lane Kiffin’s Job With USC Trojans?

Hyped by on November 30, 2012 Website: www.thepigskinreport.com

Back on November 7 of this year, I wrote that USC Trojans head coach Lane Kiffin may be forced to make very difficult decision by the end of the 2012 college football season. Due to such poor play this season defensively by the Trojans, I wrote that Lane Kiffin may have to fire his father, Monte, who has served as the defensive coordinator under his son. On Thursday, that decision was made easier, as Monte Kiffin resigned as USC defensive coordinator to pursue NFL opportunities.

He can call it what he wants, but we all know the truth.

Monte Kiffin resigned in order to save Lane Kiffin’s job as USC head coach. Plain and simple.
