Michael Bourn was one of the hottest free agents this MLB offseason, with a likely scenario having Bourn remaining in the National League East. The former Atlanta Braves center fielder was rumored to be close to signing with the Washington Nationals a few days ago, but the Nats went out and traded for Denard Span with the Minnesota Twins. But fear not, N.L. East fans, as Bourn is still highly likely to stay in the same division for the foreseeable future.
The Nationals acquired Span, so they are through overhauling their new outfield. Bryce Harper gets to relocate out of center field and shift to a more natural corner spot, and the outfield will now be much stronger defensively.
