MLB Rumors: New York Yankees Will Not Sign Josh Hamilton

MLB Rumors: New York Yankees Will Not Sign Josh Hamilton

Hyped by on December 7, 2012 Website: www.hardballchat.com

The New York Yankees are looking to lower their salary to under $189 million by the 2014 MLB season in order to avoid paying the luxury tax. Josh Hamilton is seeking a deal worth at least $25 million for the next three or four years, as teams appear scared off from offering a seven or eight year deal that many top hitting stars have landed over the past decade. The Yankees are now doing a background check and doing their homework when it comes to Hamilton.

Is this making any sense to any of you?
