MLB Rumors: Can Boston Red Sox Sign Ryan Dempster For Two Years?

MLB Rumors: Can Boston Red Sox Sign Ryan Dempster For Two Years?

Hyped by on December 13, 2012 Website:

Free agent starting pitcher Ryan Dempster is seeking a three year contract this offseason, having already rejected two year deals from at lest three teams. One of those teams is the Boston Red Sox, although talks have once again heated up, with Dempster possibly reconsidering his stance at insisting on teams adding a third year to any deal.

Dempster will turn 36-years-old during the second month of the 2013 MLB season, but he is still a serviceable starter. After seeing what other pitchers have gotten on the market over the past few years, there is no doubt that he has every right to look for a three year deal.
