MLB Rumors: New York Yankees Hoping To Steal Michael Bourn?

Hyped by on December 17, 2012 Website: www.hardballchat.com

The New York Yankees have been relatively quiet for a team who was swept in the 2012 American League Championship Series against the Detroit Tigers with an anemic offense that made the entire team look bad. They re-signed some of their own, including Mariano Rivera, Andy Pettitte and Hiroki Kuroda, but will also likely watch Nick Swisher and Rafael Soriano sign elsewhere, while their only free agent acquisition of note thus far is Kevin Youkilis.

Talk about ho-hum, as I truly believe that the now-fragile Youkilis is well past his prime and incapable of helping out much at all at the plate, while still playing a decent third base with the absence of another broken down has-been in Alex Rodriguez.
