NFL Rumors: San Diego Chargers Lose Ryan Mathews For Season Once Again

NFL Rumors: San Diego Chargers Lose Ryan Mathews For Season Once Again

Hyped by on December 17, 2012 Website: www.thepigskinreport.com

Ryan Mathews broke his left clavicle in the San Diego Chargers’ loss to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, and will once again miss the rest of the season after being placed on IR. It does not matter for the Chargers, who will miss the playoffs once again, but it is just further proof that Mathews will never be the running back that people in San Diego were hoping for ever since letting Ladainian Tomlinson go a few years back.

During the preseason, Mathews broke his right clavicle. Almost every few weeks, he seems to suffer some sort of injury that always keeps him out for a lengthy period of time. He is far too fragile to be counted on as anything more than a change of pace back.
