The Miami Marlins may have traded away nearly every single recognizable player from their team over the past six months or so, but that has not prevented them from kicking the tires on adding a former perennial All-Star to become the new face of their franchise.

No, I am not talking about Michael Bourn. I am not talking about A.J. Pierzynski. I am not even talking about Adam LaRoche, Lance Berkman or Grady Sizemore.
