Chip Kelly may have come up short in his final quest to win a BCS Championship with the Oregon Ducks. After losing the 2011 BCS Championship Game on a last second field goal against Cam Newton and the Auburn Tigers, Kelly’s Ducks dropped a heartbreaking overtime game to the Stanford Cardinal that took them out of national championship contention late this season.
It now appears even more clear that the time may be now for Kelly to leave Oregon and make the jump to the National Football League. Especially with an NCAA investigation pending that will take a serious look into the football program’s relationship with prep adviser Will Lyles.
