The Jets Must Move on from Sanchez

The Jets Must Move on from Sanchez

The New York Jets have grabbed the back pages once again in New York (like they ever really lost them).

The New York Giants need two wins to secure a playoff spot, while the New York Jets are eliminated from the playoffs, but all the talk is surrounding Mark Sanchez, Tim Tebow, and the New York Jets.

Sanchez is in the middle of his worst season as a New York Jet, or is he?

The stats show Sanchez is having a normal, average Mark Sanchez season. Sanchez has completed 54.8% of his passes this season, right at his career percentage. He has thrown for just under 2,700 yards which seems low, but he would still have two games left to get over 3,000 except for his benching.

Sanchez’s turnovers seem to have skyrocketed this season with 25 total turnovers, but his career average is 23 per season with his rookie season being the highest at 28.
