NFL Rumors: Jacksonville Jaguars Place Maurice Jones-Drew On Season Ending IR

Hyped by on December 28, 2012 Website: www.thepigskinreport.com

In a move that took about two months longer than it should have, the Jacksonville Jaguars have finally placed running back Maurice Jones-Drew on season ending IR. Of course, the season was going to end in three more days for the Jaguars to begin with, so this move means very little.

A season that began poorly ended even worse for Jones-Drew and the Jaguars. After a lengthy contract dispute that led to an even longer holdout, Jones-Drew finally reported to the team right before the start of the 2012 regular season. He played in just five games before injuring his foot on the second play of his sixth game against the Oakland Raiders.
