2012 Sun Bowl: USC Trojans Could Be In For Long Season In 2013 After Making History In 2012

The USC Trojans made history in 2012. It is not the history that they were hoping for, having started the preseason as the No. 1 college football team in the country.

Unfortunately for USC, they finished the season outside the top 25 and lost their sixth game of the season on Monday in the Sun Bowl against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. No preseason No. 1 had ever lost more than five games in a season. The Trojans changed all of that with an embarrassing 21-7 defeat against the Yellow Jackets and, if that was a look into the 2013 season with Max Wittek at quarterback, it could be another long year in USC next season.
