Former Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid is currently regarded as the front runner for the head coaching position with the Arizona Cardinals. Reports suggest that he will fly to Arizona this afternoon and will meet with Cardinals officials this evening. A new team has entered the Andy Reid sweepstakes at the last minute however.

ESPN’s Chris Mortensen is reporting this morning that the Kansas City Chiefs will be meeting with Reid in Philadelphia prior to his flight to Arizona. The Chiefs are one of seven NFL teams which fired their head coach on Monday, dismissing Romeo Crennel after just one season.Mortensen reports that the Chiefs coaching search started on Tuesday after flying to Atlanta to meet with Falcons offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter.
