Ravens Ray Lewis to retire after 2012 season

The Baltimore Ravens will host the Indianapolis Colts this Sunday in the wildcard round of the playoffs. The Ravens will have veteran LB Ray Lewis on the field as he returns from a torn triceps injury. Lewis will take the season this weekend, but when the Ravens playoff run concludes, his career is over. It is being reported this afternoon that Lewis told his teammates that this season is going to be “my last ride”.This will be Lewis’ last home game in Baltimore.

Once Lewis suffered his torn triceps injury, many speculated that he would never see the field again, given his age, It’s remarkable that he will see action in the Ravens playoff game this weekend, so soon after his injury.
