Chip Kelly to start interviewing with NFL teams

Hyped by on January 4, 2013 Website: www.thepigskinreport.com

On the heels of the University of Oregon’s dominating win over Kansas State in the Fiesta Bowl on Thursday night, head coach Chip Kelly told reporters that he is now prepared to begin the process of interviewing with interested NFL teams. Three teams have already scheduled an interview for later this morning, the Buffalo Bills, Philadelphia Eagles and the Cleveland Browns.

Kelly refused to comment on his potential move to the NFL in the days leading up to the Fiesta Bowl, but he told reporters last night, “I’ll listen and we’ll see. I want to get it wrapped up quickly and figure out where I’m gonna be.” His words seem to indicate that now it’s not a matter of if he enters the NFL, but rather where he lands.Kelly has compiled a 46-7 overall record in four seasons with the Oregon Ducks. If Kelly does indeed depart for the NFL, sources report that the Ducks will promote offensive coordinator Mark Helfrich to head coach.
