The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have already lost their wide receiver position coach this offseason. On Thursday, the Buccaneers suffered another loss, QB coach Ron Turner. Turner accepted a job to become the head coach of Florida International University yesterday. Turner provides a lengthy coaching resume that includes coaching jobs in both college and the NFL.

Turner was the head coach of the University of Illinois from 1997 until 2004, posting a 35-57 record. He won the Big Ten title in 2001, eventually losing in the Sugar Bowl. . From 2005 until 2009, Turner served as the Chicago Bears offensive coordinator. He spent two seasons as the quarterbacks and wide receivers coach for the Indianapolis Colts before joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. His coaching career began in 1977 with jobs across the NCAA.
