The NFL playoffs move into the Divisional round this weekend. Weather has played little to no role in most of the games played so far this season, but in one game this weekend, the cold grip of winter will play a factor. Much of the east coast of the United States is experiencing above normal temperatures, some highs are 20 degrees above normal. Many locations are setting record high temperatures.
Currently, there is a strong frontal boundary moving into the northern Plains, bringing snow and very cold temperatures with it. Heavy snow is possible in the Dakotas and northern Minnesota.
