The Jacksonville Jaguars put an end to all the speculation and rumors that the franchise would be bringing in Tim Tebow next season. Jaguars general manager Dave Caldwell told reporters yesterday that there would be open competition at the quarterback position next season, but it won’t include Tim Tebow. With a release likely coming from the New York Jets, what does the future hold now for the southpaw signal caller?
The speculation linking Tebow to the Jaguars did make sense for a variety of reasons, but his chances of competing now for a starting job on another team now is greatly diminished. It’s doubtful that Andy Reid would be interested in Tebow to lead the Chiefs next season. Arizona is in need of a quarterback, but there is not a head coach in place yet.
