Former Notre Dame lineback Manti Te'o is in the middle of a controversy surrounding his supposed deceased "girlfriend". The Florence Freedom, an independant baseball team in the Frontier League, have come up with a promotion to use during their season that is inspired by the Te'o controversy. Some might call this promotion innovative, others might call it distasteful. Only time will tell how it will be received.
