Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin has been medically cleared by the team after suffering a damaging ankle sprain during the NFL regular season. Head coach Leslie Frazier told reporters, “It went well. He’s fine. He’s cleared. All the medical was good,” when asked about Harvin’s condition.
While medically cleared to participate in offseason workouts with the team, it remains how active Harvin will be in the offseason with his team. Harvin, 24, is entering the final year of his rookie contract and has publicly stated his desire for a new contract. Reports suggest that Harvin wants a new deal upwards of the one secured by free agent WR Vincent Jackson received from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last season.
