Surprisingly, on July 5th, 2010, former Phoenix Suns’ forward Amar’e Stoudemire chose to bring his talents to New York looking to turn around a disgruntled group of fans. No, that’s not an opinion; It was surely a fact that these fans in New York were disgruntled (and maybe that word doesn’t even describe some of New York’s finest fans).
These were fans that hadn’t seen a playoff team since 2004. And then, only to make matters worse, that year they got swept by their arch-rivals in New Jersey in just four games.
The last time the Knicks had won a playoff game was against Toronto, back on April 29th, 2001 in a Game Three, Best of Five series.
