The NFL rumors are swirling as we inch closer and closer to the start of free agency, and the Minnesota Vikings will have quite a conundrum on their hands. They have to make a difficult roster decision concerning their top wide receiver and playmaker on offense. Percy Harvin has one year remaining on his rookie contract and has been clamoring for a new deal for quite some time. He has now threatened to hold out once camp starts and, having four years of service in the NFL, Harvin could sit out for the first 10 weeks of the regular season and still get credit for playing a season. He could then look to hit the free agency open market in 2014.
Then again, with his reported heated exchanges with current and former Minnesota head coaches, the Vikings could simply opt to trade Harvin prior to the 2013 NFL Draft. If they entertain offers, could the Vikings trade Harvin to the New England Patriots?
