The 2012-2013 NBA season has been full of ups and downs for Kevin Garnett and the Boston Celtics. After signing a three year contract to remain in Boston last offseason, it appeared as if the Celtics were going all-in to make one more run at an NBA Championship. And while Garnett has played well this season, including scoring his 25,000th point in the league, it comes with a mixed bag of results.
Rajon Rondo is out for the rest of the season. So is Jared Sullinger and Lenadro Barbosa. The Celtics are on an 8-1 run since Rondo went down, and Garnett is getting ready to start in yet another NBA All-Star Game, regardless of whether or not critics feel he is deserving of the selection. But, according to Mark Murphy of the Boston Herald, Garnett told him that this Sunday will be his final NBA All-Star Game.
