MLB Rumors: Could Miami Marlins Trade Giancarlo Stanton To New York Mets?

The Miami Marlins have no problems trading any and all players on their roster, despite their level of talent. They have proven that time and time again and should be considered perhaps the worst run franchise in all of professional sports. Miami owner Jeffrey Loria is a moron who cares only about making money and not at all about the fans, and his front office lackies, led by his idiot son-in-law David Samson, are about as clueless as they come. The Marlins cleaned house this past year, unloading players including Jose Reyes, Josh Johnson, Mark Buehrle, Heath Bell, Omar Infante, Anibal Sanchez and John Buck, just to name a few. The team fleeced the fans and taxpayers, and have completely dismantled what they promised would be a World Series contender for years to come. With only one or two current players on the roster who could fetch quite a ransom, everyone knows that it is only a matter of time before the Marlins trade Giancarlo Stanton. Since they have already shown that they have no problem at all trading star players within the National League East (they once traded Dan Uggla to the Atlanta Braves while still in the thick of the playoff chase), it should come as no surprise that other teams within the division are keeping tabs on Stanton. Right now, it seems no team may be more interested in acquiring Stanton than the New York Mets.
