The Philadelphia Flyers suck this season, that much is obvious to even the most loyal of fans. So since they only have a few more games left in their season, they really need to set their sights on signing some new players and focusing on the draft.
But on Sunday, the Pittsburgh Penguins beat them to it by signing Quinnipiac University‘s goaltender Eric Hartzell. Hartzell was the goalie who led his team to the school’s first ever NCAA Frozen Four competition this weekend and to the National Championship game. Unfortunately Quinnipiac was routed in a 4-0 shutout by Yale University, but Hartzell made quite an impression on the hockey community.
