The 2013 NBA Playoffs schedule has been released, with the final teams securing their postseason spots during the final evening of the 2012-2013 NBA regular season, Yes, the Los Angeles Lakers are once again headed back to the NBA Playoffs, but they will be forced to go up against the San Antonio Spurs without the services of Kobe Bryant. The Miami Heat will tangle with the Milwaukee Bucks as they look to successfully defend their NBA Championship from a year ago, while the Oklahoma City Thunder will seek to make a return trip to the NBA Finals, having to first go through the Houston Rockets in the first round out west.
In other first round matchups, the New York Knicks and Boston Celtics will meet up once again in what could be one of the more heated first round series, while the Indiana Pacers host the Atlanta Hawks and the Brooklyn Nets take on the Chicago Bulls in the east. Out west, the Denver Nuggets will take on the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Clippers will face the Memphis Grizzlies. The NBA Playoffs begin on Saturday, April 20, and could go as late as Sunday, May 5, depending on if any of the series go the full seven games.
