On Monday morning the move many people expected the New York Jets to make happened, as after just one season with the team Tim Tebow was cut by new General Manager John Idzik.
When the Jets drafted Geno Smith in the second round it became apparent that someone had to be let go, as the Jets didn’t want to go into camps with six quarterbacks, so unfortunately for Tebow he was the odd man out.
For Tebow now he will have to work on his skills, as its not expected that a lot of teams will be lining up to sign the now free agent Quarterback. Tebow did have some value when the Jets traded for him after he had a nice season with the Denver Broncos, which included an overtime win in the playoffs against the Pittsburgh Steelers. However Tebow never got a fair shake in New York, as he was mishandled horribly by Rex Ryan and Tony Sparano in the “Wildcat Offense”.
