Justin Blackmon has been involved in more than his fair share of controversies, both as a college standout with the Oklahoma State Cowboys and now as a top wide receiver prospect with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Like fellow former Oklahoma State wide receiver and current Dallas Cowboys Pro-Bowl player Dez Bryant, the talent has been there from the beginning. Unfortunately, so are the off the field issues. Blackmon was suspended for the first four games of the 2013 NFL season for violating the NFL substance abuse policy. According to Pro Football Talk, that is enough to allow the Jaguars to release Blackmon without having to pay him another cent.
Just don’t look for that to take place. That, at least, according to Paul Kuharsky of ESPN, who says that it has not even been discussed by anyone within the Jacksonville organization.
