When the Chicago Bulls take on the defending NBA Champion Miami Heat in the 2013 NBA Playoffs in one of the Eastern Conference Finals, they will likely do so without the services of Derrick Rose. While he has been medically cleared for nearly two months now, Rose continues to watch many of his battered and bruised teammates fight night in and night out as the Bulls were able to battle back to eliminate the Brooklyn Nets. I am not questioning Rose’s heart or toughness. Not for a minute. He does not strike me as that type of player. Nobody knows a man’s body better than the man himself, and that includes doctors and team trainers.
With that being said, would the return of Rose help the Bulls beat the Heat, or is Chicago better off without him at this point?
