The New York Yankees suffered another big injury loss on Thursday afternoon, as a MRI revealed a torn tendon sheath in his right wrist, which will require surgery and end Mark Teixeira's season. Teixeira originally hurt the wrist on March 5th preparing for the World Baseball Classic, and it cost him to miss the first 53 games of the season. He did however get on the field for the Yankees for a short period of time, but in 15 games he hit just .151. Teixeira did have three home runs and 12 RBIs before being shut down again to get a cortisone shot to see if the wrist would feel better, which it did not.
