In the New York Jets first preseason game, rookie quarterback Geno Smith suffered a rolled ankle in the third quarter and limped off the field. Smith never returned to the contest. X-rays after the game showed that the injury was a sprain and no fractures were found. It was believed that Smith might miss a few days on the practice field, but that turns out not to be the case. The Jets hit the field this morning and Geno Smith was right there on the field taking reps.
