Teemu Pulkkinen hasn't played a regular season NHL game yet, but he already has a hearing with the Department of Player Safety. The hearing is set for Thursday.
Pulkkinen was giving the option for an in person hearing, rather than one over the phone, because the suspension is expected to be for five or more games.
The hit in question early on in the Wings second preseason game against the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday. At the 2:16 mark in the first period Pulkkinen was called for boarding Hawks defenseman Michael Kostka and received a game misconduct.
