Week 5 of the 2013 College Football season is in the books, and quite a few things were made much more clear, especially in comparison to the weekend of blowouts that was Week 4. First off, the Alabama Crimson Tide are still the clear cut No. 1 team in the country. Anyone talking about flaws and holes clearly did not witness the beating that the Tide put on the Ole Miss Rebels Saturday night. This team is on track to make it three straight National Championships. Second, the Georgia Bulldogs are an extremely tough football team. Having already faced three Top 10 teams in the first month of the season will only make the ‘Dawgs better as the season progresses. After escaping a hard-fought great game against the LSU Tigers, things should get a bit easier for UGA. Finally, the Oklahoma Sooners are much better than they were last year, and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish are much worse. I tried to warn you all of that yesterday. Kudos to those who were wise enough to heed my advice.
Anyway, with a few upsets as well as a few crucial wins, here is what the BCS Rankings could look like if they were to be revealed on Sunday night. While this is still just a prediction, I feel that the real rankings will not be much different. Thankfully, we will not have to wait much longer, as the first BCS Rankings of the 2013 NCAA season are just over a week away. Since no true fan can wait for that, take a look at my BCS Projections following all of the Week 5 games.
