The Texas Longhorns are undefeated in conference play this season. They sit atop the Big 12 standings through the first five weeks of the 2013 NCAA Football season. If you do not scratch the surface, things do not seem that bad in Austin. But if you just dig a little bit, the truth is, the situation is quite bleak for the Longhorns in 2013.
Especially, for Texas head coach Mack Brown.
I have said it before. Brown is not long for Texas. Entering the 2013 season, I said that I didn’t see him lasting the season. Now, although Texas has won two straight games to begin conference play, my opinion has not changed. In fact, I can see a scenario in which Brown is fighting for his coaching life with the Longhorns next Saturday when UT takes on the Oklahoma Sooners in the Red River Shootout.
