We have seen that “franchise” running backs really do not exist to the extent they once did in the National Football League. Everyone chastised the Cleveland Browns for trading Trent Richardson to the Indianapolis Colts for a 2014 first round draft pick. The truth is, the deal was a good one for Cleveland. Richardson was not helping them win, and he has done little in Indianapolis following the trade that sent shockwaves throughout the NFL. If the Browns can trade Richardson, can the Buffalo Bills trade C.J. Spiller to the Dallas Cowboys for a first round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft?
