New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski suffered a knee injury after a tackle from Cleveland Browns safety T.J. Ward. It was speculated last evening that he had suffered an ACL injury. It’s now official, he is done for the season. ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting this morning that Gronkowski has a torn ACL and torn MCL and is done for the season.
This injury is a major blow for the Patriots offense going forward. It would be difficult for the Patriots offense to defeat the Broncos in Denver without Gronkowski. Not impossible, but the injury really limits the New England offense moving forward.
