According to multiple reports this afternoon, the Kansas City Chiefs could be considering resting their starters heading into Week 17. Why? There are now apparent major injuries to key players, so why sit key personnel? Andy Reid has done a remarkable job of taking the Chiefs from the worst team in the NFL in 2012 to a team that not only reaches the playoffs, but has one of the best records in football. Andy should learn from his coaching mistakes in Philadelphia and play his starters in Week 17.
An argument can be made that the Chiefs lit up the scoreboard in Weeks 15 and 16, scoring an explosive 101 points, but look at the competition in those games. The Redskins and Raiders are terrible teams. On Sunday, they faced a fading, but playoff bound Indianapolis Colts team, at home, and only managed 7 offensive points. This is not a complete Chiefs team and there should be no rest for the weary.
