The 79th annual meeting of the National Football League franchises to select newly eligible football players is known to us as the NFL Draft. Less than three months remain and the Houston Texans are on the clock. A lot can change from now till then, but we may have a shocker at No. 1.
1. Houston Texans: Blake Bortles, QB, Central Florida
You want to call Teddy Bridgewater overrated, then take Blake Bortles. A prospect who looks like Andrew Luck, but looks can be deceiving. His struggles reading complex defenses and an overreliance on his teammates at Central Florida will prove to be a three-year project under Bill O’Brien. He will struggle mightily during his first couple of seasons, and it will be up to O’Brien to ensure he can squeeze enough wins out of him to keep his job after year three.
