Different week, different town, same result for the Chicago Blackhawks. The Colorado Avalanche beat the Hawks 3-2 on Wednesday night and leapfrogged them in the standings. Chicago is now trailing both St. Louis and Colorado and sit at third in the division.
Brad Malone put Colorado on the board first, scoring with 1:36 left in the first period. Then is took only 19 seconds into the second period for Matt Duchene to give the Avs a 2-0 lead. After that Chicago was in catch up mode, just like the game last week in Chicago.
