There’s a phrase that comes with playing for Madison Square Garden, “The Worlds Most Famous Arena:”
“Once a Ranger, always a Ranger.”
But for once beloved “Blueshirt” Brandon Prust, this saying no longer applies.
If his remarks on Chris Kreider’s “accidently, on purpose” trip into Carey Price didn’t solidify him as one of the most hated ex Rangers of all time, ‘Pruster’s’ first period cheap shot on former teammate Dererk Stepan did.
Several minutes into the game, Prust hit Stepan with what looked like an “accidently on purpose” hit to the head.
A fight between Derek Dorsett and Prust ensued, setting the tone for a hard-hitting, Original 6 matchup against the Montreal Canadiens Thursday night.
