Los Angeles Dodgers vs. New York Mets

Post Game Recap

The Mets stretch of 20 games in 20 days did not get off to a good start, as the Dodgers handed them a 9-4 loss Monday night. The Mets have struggled at home all season, sitting now with a 9-13 record at Citi Field, and 19-23 on the season. This is the lowest the Mets have been below .500 all season. The Mets now sit in last place of the NL East with the Philadelphia Phillies getting a victory tonight.

In his second career start, Rafael Montero failed to get through five innings. He was holding his own against a loaded Dodgers lineup, but the fifth inning gave him problems. Montero walked Yasiel Puig to start the fifth, but was able to get Hanley Ramirez to pop right after. He was unable to get another out in the game, as Adrian Gonzalez took him deep after the Ramirez pop out.
