Los Angeles Dodgers vs. New York Mets
Post Game Recap
The Mets were able to avoid the sweep at the hands of the Dodgers Thursday night, winning 5-3. Wins have been few and far between for the Mets in May, as this was only their sixth victory in 20 games in the month. Their series losing streak still continued, but getting back into the win column is always a good thing.
The Mets were able to end an impressive streak that Dodgers’ starting pitcher Zack Greinke in the process as well. Greinke entered the game with a major league record of 21 consecutive starts in which he surrendered two or less runs; tonight the Mets scored three off of him, albeit only one was earned. Greinke looked to have his streak continued, but former Met Justin Turner committed an error, and the Mets scored their third run.
