Arizona Diamondbacks vs. New York Mets

Post Game Recap

Winning Pitcher: Josh Collmenter (3-2, 3.91 ERA)

Losing Pitcher: Zack Wheeler (1-5, 4.31 ERA)

Save: Addison Reed (13, 4.37 ERA)

After the rain postponed their game Friday night, the Mets and Diamondbacks played through another soaked game Saturday. This time around, Mother Nature did not keep the Mets from losing, as they fell to the D-Backs 3-2. The Mets have no one to blame but themselves in this one, as they squandered multiple chances to get the victory tonight.

Lucas Duda was one player unable to produce today, and he took the blame for the loss after the game. Duda went 0-4 from the plate, striking out once and stranding seven runners on base. Josh Collmenter got him to chase a pitch out of the strike zone for strike three with the bases loaded in the first inning. He then flew out in the third and eighth innings with two men on.
