New York Mets vs. Washington Nationals
Post Game Recap
The Mets struggles continued Sunday afternoon against the Nationals, losing 6-3 and dropping yet another series. This was the fifth series of May, and the Mets have compiled a series record of 0-4-1, with the tie being the split of the Subway Series earlier in the week.
Today Zack Wheeler struggled yet again. He gave up five runs, three of which were earned, which makes two straight starts he has surrendered at least five runs. He surrendered six hits and two walks over his six innings to go with five strikeouts. The month of May has been rough on Wheeler. If you take out his six shutout innings against the Miami Marlins, he has given up 17 runs, 12 earned, in 14.1 innings.
