Brooklyn Nets Guard/Forward Alan Anderson has decided to opt out of the final year of his two-year contract with the Nets after a very successful 2013-14 campaign. Last season, Anderson averaged 7.2 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game. The loss of Anderson would be a big one for the Nets, as he was an important part of the rotation, starting in 26 games and playing in 78 this past season.
It will be tough for the Nets to get production like that from another reserve this season. There is only so many times you hit with minimum contract players.
