Toronto Blue Jays vs New York Yankees Post Game Recap
Final Score: Blue Jays 5 Yankees 4
The New York Yankees suffered a bad loss on Sunday afternoon in an important series with the Toronto Blue Jays at home. The loss for the Yankees moves them to (54-50) on the season, and moves them into third place in the AL East now behind the Blue Jays and Baltimore Orioles.
Rookie Shane Greene had another difficult start on Sunday, but despite not pitching to well, he didn’t factor in the decision. The Blue Jays would get to Greene in the first inning with a Jose Bautista RBI ground out. In the fifth inning, a Juan Francisco solo-homerun would make it a 2-0 game. In the sixth inning with the game tied at that time, Greene would allow the Blue Jays to regain the lead with a Colby Rasmus RBI double. Greene would then be pulled, as he went 5.1 innings allowing three runs on eight hits with two walks.
