The 2015 NFL preseason has not yet started yet, the Houston Texans may already be in trouble. Arian Foster is injured. Again. He will miss time. A lot of time. In fact, there is even some concern that Foster will miss more than half of the upcoming regular season. Head coach Bill O’Brien said that Alfred Blue would be the Texans’ starting running back “as of now.” Translation? The Texans are actively seeking an upgrade.
Houston had actually intended to sign former New Orleans Saints running back Pierre Thomas, following a visit in Wednesday but, the two sides were unable to reach an agreement. That does not mean that a deal cannot be consummated at a later date but, as of now, Thomas remains a free agent and the Texans remain on the hunt for another back.
