Robert J. Romano is a Connecticut/New York City based attorney licensed in both state and federalcourt, whose practice focuses on sports law and sports & entertainment related issues. After attending Springfield College, where he was a member of the football team, Romano obtained his Juris Doctorate from Loyola University School of Law in New Orleans, Louisiana, and his Masters in Sports Management from Columbia University, New York City, New York. Attorney Romano is an experienced litigator and contract attorney who has negotiated employment contracts, public appearance, endorsement & marketing and sponsorship agreements for coaches, professional athletes, entertainers, broadcasters and front office personnel. He is a Course Coordinator at Columbia University in the City of New York, teaching “Beyond the Game: The Business of Sports” for the summer program, while also managing classes such as “Sports Leadership and Management” and “Sports Facilities and Event Management”. He is an Adjunct Professor at St. John’s University and Quinnipiac Law School where he teaches ”Sports Law” and “Hospitality Law” and has guest lectured at Long Island University and the University of New Haven on topics including “The Role of Sports Agents” and “Negotiating Sports Contracts”. Attorney Romano has regular guest appearances on ESPN Radio, FOX Sports Radio, FOX and Friends Morning Show, KCAA Radio, along with a host of other appearances on local networks and radio stations. Additionally, he is a member of the Sports Lawyers Association and both the American and Connecticut Bar Associations Sports and Entertainment Division.
